Yes. Public paid courses use Stripe Checkout on your connected account; private cohorts are handled in trainSME and invoiced per your plan—Growth and Pro support the workflows providers typically need.
Eligible new accounts get a 14-day free trial to explore the platform—including AI authoring where your plan allows—before you commit to a paid tier.
Plans combine a monthly subscription with enrolment economics: a platform fee (percentage) on public card sales by tier, and fixed platform fees for private paid enrolments where applicable (Basic and up, by tier). Stripe’s own processing costs on public sales are charged to your Connect account. You are not charged again for learners who stay on the same enrolment. Details and legal responsibilities (taxes, chargebacks, ABN in Australia) are in our Terms of Service.
Complete Stripe Connect for your school. You’re the seller for public checkouts; trainSME takes the published platform fee. You’re responsible for Stripe’s card fees, tax setup and reporting in your jurisdictions, and disputes or chargebacks. Australian businesses need a valid ABN in Stripe. Onboarding and sensitive payout details are handled securely by Stripe—not stored by trainSME in full on our servers. See the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
